The word “frameless” or “seamless” refers more to the thickness and style of the shower enclosure rather than a literal description.<\/p>\n

Frameless shower doors typically use 3\/8\u201d or 1\/2″ tempered glass.\u00a0 The thicker glass provides more stability and requires less support from surrounding metal compared to framed or semi-frameless shower enclosures.<\/p>\n

For pivot door enclosures, 2 hinges are used to attach the door to the wall or the glass and either \u201cU\u201d channel or a \u201cClamp\u201d system mounting method is used to secure the stationary panels in place.\u00a0 Both are very effective and most choose one or the other based upon how they look.<\/p>\n
